Campus Pastor Johnnie Moore took the stage to make some announcements about happenings at LU. He informed students that LU's first home football game is this Saturday, Sept. 12 against Coastal Carolina. He also let the students know that Light Ministries is still seeking applications for missions trips. For more information about Light's trips, please visit www.LUGlobal.com.

Today's speaker, Jonathan Falwell, pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church, addressed the students with a powerful message packed full with applicable material. Falwell encouraged LU students to get involved in the city of Lynchburg. He explained that, even though there are plenty of churches, there are still lost people here in the city. He also challenged the students to make a commitment to seek out God's will and to seek Him with their whole hearts. Falwell urged the students to embrace their personalities, to learn to love God and to discover the abilities that God has blessed them with.

Preceding Falwell's message, Hannah Bruce, accompanied by Justin Kintzel and Tyler Sorie, blessed the audience with a music special.
