Resident Assistants Return for Training

January 16, 2009

On Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, Resident Assistants (RAs) returned to campus to begin a week of training before the new semester started. RAs are required to return a week early at the beginning of each semester to receive training and prepare for the upcoming semester. RAs are trained on topics such as discipline, crisis intervention and spiritual growth. During the week, they spend time with their Resident Director’s and RA Groups to participate in team building exercises, pray and schedule the activities for next semester. The RAs at Liberty University keep the students safe, discipline when necessary, and help uphold the mission statement and beliefs of the university. Resident halls re-open on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 for returning students.
